What is the difference between PZN and PPN?
PZN is the German 8-digit pharmacy article number. PPN is the Pharmacy Product Number built from it (prefix + PZN + check digits) for machine-readable use inside a Data Matrix. Vectode derives the PPN from your PZN automatically.
Which code do I need for EU FMD?
The EU Falsified Medicines Directive requires a unique identifier in a GS1 DataMatrix (product code, serial, expiry, batch). In Germany the product code may be a PPN. Requirements differ by market — follow your regulatory guidance, and verify printed codes before production.
What is a SÚKL code?
It is the identification code assigned to medicinal products by the Czech State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL), printed on packaging for the Czech market. Vectode generates it with the correct structure.
